| A group of edgy young comedians have turned an actual house party into a live monthly comedy show. The Comedy Garage is picking up buzz, attracting star writers/performers, and launching Matthew Sullivan, Paul Danke, Cornell Reid, Sean Green and Casey Feigh into the limelight. Regulating and taxing the recreational use of marijuana in California could raise some serious revenues and potentially dig the state out of debt...but at what cost? This debate is in full effect and there is the possibility of legalizing a substance that hasn\'t been legal in over 70 years. With an unpredictable economy, workers are starting to think more about organizing to ensure better working conditions for themselves. Many support the idea of fixing the economy from the "unions up", giving better wages and benefits to the working middle class so they have more spending power. Others argue that unions are not efficient in representing all workers (just look at the split in actors unions) and "union greed" has caused many companies to send work overseas. I spoke with a few people who work in one of the most unionized industry in America, the entertainment industry, about their views on unions. As insurers try to limit their payouts and new treatments become available, patients are finding more gaps in what their medical policies will cover.
